Brow Lamination Looks Crunchy
Brow lamination looks crunchy when hairs are over-set, coated with too much gel, or brushed too flat. Softening the finish makes brows look fuller.
Part of makeup beauty fixes and flaky beauty fixes .

What you'll need
- clean spoolie
- brow conditioner
- clear brow gel
- cotton swab
Why it happened
Laminated brows need shape, but too much product can glue hairs into a hard sheet. That makes the brow look shiny, sparse, or flaky instead of fluffy. A little separation brings back the look of individual hairs.
The fix
- 1brush brows upward and slightly outward instead of straight up and flat
- 2remove excess gel from the wand before applying
- 3use a clean spoolie to break up shiny or stiff sections
- 4condition brow hairs at night if they feel dry
If it's still wrong
- Skip strong-hold gel for a few days if the hairs feel brittle.
- Use tinted brow powder only in gaps rather than coating every hair.
Prevent next time
- Avoid layering wax, gel, and pencil heavily in the same brow.
- Brush through before product fully dries.
Notes
Why this works
Brows look fuller when light can catch individual hairs. A hard layer of gel flattens that dimension and can make the brow look painted on.
Using less hold product and combing through keeps the lifted shape while softening the finish.
Substitutions
- brow conditioner→a tiny amount of facial oil kept off breakout-prone skin
- clear brow gel→flexible-hold brow gel
