Why it happened
Dry skin lets fragrance evaporate faster because the scent has less moisture and oil to cling to. Unscented lotion creates a smoother base without changing the perfume. A small clothing spray can extend wear, but it should be tested first on delicate or light fabrics.
The fix
- 1moisturize the area with unscented lotion before applying perfume
- 2add a tiny amount of fragrance-free body oil only if your skin is very dry
- 3spray once on moisturized skin and once on clothing if the fabric will not stain
- 4avoid rubbing wrists together because friction can make top notes disappear faster
