Mascara Clumps at Lash Tips
Mascara clumps at lash tips when the wand drags too much formula through the ends. Focus product at the roots and clean the tips before they dry.

The fix
- place the wand at the roots and wiggle there before pulling through lightly
- stop the stroke before pressing hard into the lash tips
- comb only the tips with a lash comb while mascara is still damp
If it’s still not right
- Remove the heaviest tip clumps with clean fingertips.
- Use a tubing mascara if wet formulas keep collecting at the ends.
Prevent it next time
- Blot the wand before each coat.
- Avoid more than two coats on the lash tips.
Notes
Why this works
Tip-heavy mascara changes the lash shape from lifted to pointed. Cleaning the ends makes the whole lash line look softer and more separated.
Keeping the product at the root also gives volume without the clumpy weight.
