How to Fix Nail Polish That Won't Dry
Nail polish will not dry when coats are too thick, old polish is gummy, or humidity slows the solvents. Thin layers and quick-dry top coat help it set.

- stop adding more coats until the surface is dry to the touch
- add one layer of quick-dry top coat
- use cuticle oil after 10 minutes to reduce dents
- thin gummy polish before the next manicure
Prevent it next time
- Paint three thin strokes per nail instead of flooding the nail.
- Replace polish that stays stringy after thinner.
