How to Fix Dry Ends and Oily Roots
Dry ends with oily roots happen when the scalp gets product-heavy while older ends lack moisture. Treat the roots and ends as two different zones.

The fix
- shampoo the scalp only and let suds rinse through the ends
- condition from mid-lengths down
- use leave-in spray on the dry ends after towel drying
- refresh roots with dry shampoo between washes

- Avoid conditioner on the scalp unless it is very dry.
- Clarify roots occasionally if styling products build up.
