Eyeliner Creases on Hooded Lids
Eyeliner creases on hooded lids when the line is too thick or placed where the lid folds. Tightline or use a thinner outer-corner shape.

The fix
- prime the lid and set only the fold with matte shadow
- keep liner thin near the inner lid and thicker only at the outer corner
- clean the fold with a cotton swab before the liner dries
If it’s still not right
- Tightline the upper waterline instead of drawing across the lid.
- Use dark shadow as liner for a softer, less transferable edge.
Prevent it next time
- Map liner with eyes open before filling it in.
- Avoid creamy liner in the deepest fold.
Notes
Why this works
Eyeliner lasts longer when it avoids the moving fold. Hooded lid shapes often need placement adjusted with the eye open.
Primer and matte shadow reduce slip, while a thinner line gives the lid less product to crease.
