False Lashes Lift at Inner Corners

False lashes lift at inner corners when the band is too long, stiff, or glued before the glue gets tacky. Trimming and waiting longer fixes most lifting.

False Lashes Lift at Inner Corners

What you'll need

  • false lashes
  • lash glue
  • small scissors
  • tweezers
  • eyeliner

Why it happened

The inner corner moves more and has less flat surface for a lash band to grip. If the band is too long or the glue is still wet, the lash springs upward before the adhesive can set. A shorter, more flexible band puts less tension on the corner.

The fix

  1. 1measure the lash band against your eye and trim from the outer end if it extends past your lash line
  2. 2bend the lash band gently so it curves with your eye shape
  3. 3apply a thin layer of glue and wait until it looks tacky, not wet
  4. 4place the center first, then press the inner corner down with tweezers for a few seconds

If it's still wrong

  • Cut the lash into halves or thirds if the full band keeps lifting.
  • Add a tiny dot of glue to the inner corner only after the first layer has set.

Prevent next time

  • Avoid placing the band too close to the tear duct where the eye waters.
  • Choose a thinner lash band if thick bands always pop up.

Notes

Why this works

Lash glue needs time to become sticky before it can hold the curved band in place. Wet glue slides around and lets the band lift, especially at the inner corner where blinking and moisture break the seal fastest.

Trimming reduces tension. Once the lash is the right length and the band is softened, the inner corner does not have to fight the shape of the strip.
